While the SMEs in the B2B market enjoy the efficiency of transactions, they also face the big problem that how to identify trading partners to avoid transaction risks. The credit crisis has now become the biggest bottleneck that restricts the development of electronic commerce. Considering such background, this paper tried to explore the credit evaluation model for the SMEs in the B2B market.Based on the review of the credit evaluation methods of the SMEs in traditional environment, fully considering the characteristics of the B2B market, this paper designed a credit evaluation index system for the SMEs in the B2B market. This index system was tested and verified by questionnaire survey. Then the AHP was used to determine the index weight at all levels. After that, a credit evaluation model was established. Finally, the data from the Alibaba platform was used to test the model, the model was found to be effective and practical to some extent.This credit evaluation model can be used to evaluate the credit situation of the SMEs before they enter the B2B market, then they can be marked and distinguished by their different credit situation. A B2B market with healthy atmosphere so can be expected.
