This dissertation studies the low-carbon question from supply chain's angle under the background of carrying on the low-carbon revolution in the whole world. In order to realize supply chain's low-carbon emission, this dissertation unceasingly explores supply chain's carbon emission assessment approach which matches it. On the basis of considering the economic, social and ecological benefits, not the absolute amount of carbon emissions as the evaluation criteria, this dissertation is the first to put forward a viewpoint that we can unify life cycle assessment method and input-output analysis method to research supply chain carbon emissions assessment question. In whole, this dissertation uses the step of life cycle assessment method, but it adopts input-output analysis method in life cycle impact assessment stage. Taking energy consumption, resources consumption and greenhouse gases direct emission situations which are measured in life cycle inventory stage as the data support, and taking the enterprise environment economy input-output analysis as the rationale, it constructs the input-output analysis table and model of supply chain carbon emissions assessment. And it infers the important indicator-greenhouse gases emission intensity which can weight carbon emission situation of each link in supply chain according to the above. We may distinguish the links which need to make the improvement in supply chain according to this indicator. Therefore, we can propose some referenced suggestions for low-carbon supply chain management based on evaluation result of this dissertation, in order to realize low-carbon emission of supply chain. Finally, the rationality and feasibility of the proposed method are verified by the case study about a supply chain of Portland cement production.
