The rapid development of the global aviation industry that makes energy conservation andLow-carbon environmental protection has increasingly become the significant pressure that countriesin the development of the aviation industry have to faced. Carbon emissions reduction also started toenter the sight of the world’s aviation industry. As a big manufacturing country, domestic aviationmanufacturing enterprises production a large number of aircraft parts every year. And the overall sizeof the Chinese aviation enterprises has been ranked second in the world. Along with a large number ofparts production and the rapid development of aviation industry is more carbon emission levels andfuel consumption. To include aviation in the EU ETS (European Union Emission Trading Scheme),china may be the most affected countries. Therefore, how to better deal with the aviation industrycarbon emission reduction pressure and achieve the low-carbon economy on aviation industry thepurpose of environmental protection, has become the urgent problem of the domestic aviation industry.Through the use of regional economics theory in this paper, with the entire process of the product lifecycle to analyze and research the carbon emissions status of the civil aviation industry in the YangtzeRiver Delta region, and identify the advantages and the problems on the low-carbon road of domesticaviation.First, by finishing the research on carbon emissions, domestic and international researchliterature on the application of life-cycle theory, carbon emissions status in the product life cycle ofthe aviation industry was calculated.Second, analysis based on statistical calculations, according to the of research carbon emissionsstatus on the aviation industry in the Yangtze River Delta region, the render of the carbon emissionsincreasing in recent years. However, the domestic aviation industry also made much progress inenergy conservation.Third, according to the of research carbon emissions status on the aviation industry in theYangtze River Delta region, there are many reasons for domestic civil aviation industry with morecarbon emissions in the specific details. Firstly, dometic aviation manufacturing enterprises in themanufacturing and maintenance technology is still relatively backward. Utilization of raw materialsand the scrap aircraft materials recycling rate is relatively low. Secondly, in the process of air transport, lack of advanced technology and equipment and still relatively empty in the development of bio-fuel.For these contrasting results, the study gives some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, including improving technological level and using advanced equipments.
