Study On The Investment Business Development Mode Of Large Construction Enterprises

The construction industry has become a pillar industry of the domestic economy. In recent years, it has been undergoing a high speed of development thanks to a series of economic stimulus plans put forward by the government, and the big-scale construction companies, as the leading force in the industry, are enabled to enhance the operation scale and profit, and at the same time to play an influential role in the society. However, as the stimulus plans are drawing to an end, the investment in the infrastructure is decreasing, and the construction enterprises are under the macro-political and financial pressure from both inside and outside the country, creating a fiercer competition for the construction industry and other related industries and posting threat and challenge to the large construction enterprises. To sustain the competitive position in the market and to achieve a sustainable development, the construction enterprises need to amplify the business range, develop investment business in order to create new profit source, and to reorganize the business structure.At the beginning of this paper, investment demand of the large construction enterprises is proposed based on the analysis of the developing environment and current situation of the enterprises. This paper then looks deep into the investment business of the construction enterprises, including the classification and features of the investment business, and issues concerning the investment management, in the mean time, points out the problems existing in the actual investment business and analyzes the causes. And finally, the experience of the foreign construction enterprises' investment business is summarized, so as to put forward suggestions on how to optimize the investment structure, enhance the capital-managing ability and what to do about the investment management process, risk-solving, controlling and investing management's human resource, all of which should be done to ensure the development of the investment business and the realization of the enterprises'goal.
