Study On The Characteristics And The Potential Of Economical And Intensive Use Of Land Rural Residential Area In Rizhao City

Land resource is the basic resource for human survival and development, and it is an important material foundation for achieving sustainable social development. With the rapid development of urbanization and industrialization in recent years, the non-agricultural construction would occupy a lot of cultivated land. And the contradiction between land and population is more and more serious. Due to the historical reasons, the villages of initiative form have a lack of unified planning and layout. Not only having large quantity and scattered distribution, but also covering the large area and extensive land. What resulted in a waste of the land. So how to use the rural residential areas economically and intensively, for alleviating the sharp contradiction between people and land. And achieving the goal of land resource optimization allocation is becoming the focus of attention.Based on the situation of the rural residential areas in Rizhao city, analysed the status of the economical and intensive use in rural residential areas, and dynamic changes of the economical and intensive use in recent years. Then the paper calculated the potential of the rural residential areas in Rizhao city. According to the survey, the per capita area of rural residential areas is 204.61 square meters in 2009 in Rizhao city, and exceeded the national standard.The per capita area of Donggang district is the highest, achieving 264.17 square meters, the per capita area of JuXian is the lowest, achieving 185.93 square meters. A study revealed that rural residential areas is from 35744.13 hectares increased to 37852.31 hectares during 1997-2009 in Rizhao city, increased 2108.18 hectares.The per area of rural residential areas is from 153.37 square meters growth to 204.61 square meters, increased 51.24 square meters. Which showed a increasing trend in total. The level of economical and intensive use dropped. The measurement indicated that the economical and intensive utilization potentials of rural residential areas are 12579 hectares in 2009 and 20021.5 hectares in 2020. On the basis, according to the practical situation of different regions, the article summarized five different modes: the consolidation mode of moving the village up to the hill,the consolidation mode of the internal transformation and controling,the consolidation mode of transformation and removing villages to other place, the consolidation mode of merging the small villages, the land consolidation mode of rural urbanization. According to the present status of economic development in rural areas of Rizhao, the paper proposed the approach of economical and intensive use in different regions, including the rural-urban fringe zone, the hilly ground of economically underdeveloped regions, the hilly ground of economically more developed regions, the plains of economically underdeveloped regions, the plains of economically more developed regions, and so on.
