Various human activities and specific physical condition shape landscape pattern. Landscape change refers to the dynamic nature of landscape structure and function over time, where changes are often the result of natural or human disturbance. As the most important human activities, agricultural development will exert a profound influence on natural ecosystem, such as landscape fragmentation, landscape homogenization and degradation of landscape quality. And all of these will impose upon biodiversity a direct and indirect impact.Anthropogenic activities, such as agriculture and urbanization, have radically transformed natural landscapes everywhere around the world. It has been recognized that Land Consolidation Project is a drastic and intensive disturbance, and will regulated and optimized arable land use structure in a short time. The paper studied the landscape ecological effects caused by Land Leveling Project, Water Facility Project and Road Project, which makes an example as Luolong Town in Daozhen County in Guizhou Province which is a national LCP and the conclusion are shown as below.1. The main landscape type in study area is dry land and paddy land, land use types distribute, the fragment of landscape element is obvious. Arable land is the upper most land use and landscape type, also the matrix which supply production and service to the whole ecosystem, hold 72.43% and 74.31% in research area respectively. The index of landscape diversity, evenness decreased and degree of fragmentation increased caused by the measures of land consolidation. The fragmentation of dry land landscape element stays the highest level.2. Water Facility Project and Road Project is the core content in Land Consolidation Project. The main corridors in study area are canals and roads. Total length and density of corridor networks have increased greatly after the land consolidation. The characteristics of corridor networks have improved to some extent. In different sample sites under different situations, the density of corridor networks have increased after land consolidation and meanwhile the structure have become complex. And the structure of high density sample site is more complex than that of low density. The canals significantly effect on arable landscape in the scope of 0-lm, and the scope of roads is 0-5m. The more distance from canal's or road's centre, the less force on farm land landscape pattern.3. Greenland provides important socio-economic value and performs ecological functions, and it also is an important measurement of landscape ecological effects in study area. The Greenland landscape is consisted of few large patches and many small patches before and after land consolidation. The connectivity of greenland landscape have decreased after land consolidation. IIC and PC of study area is moderate, and the average value is 0.43 and 0.68 respectively. As the distance threshold increases, the connectivity of greenland increases gradually. The values of large patches for connectivity of greenland landscape are more than other size patches.4. A land ecological evaluation index system for landscape ecological effects of Land Consolidation Project was constructed. The evaluation result showed that the landscape ecological effects of study area have improved after land consolidation.
