A 3G Based Vehicle Insurance Claims System Design And Analysis

3G is the third generation mobile communication technology. Compared with the second generation mobile system, 3G can provide higher data rate for audio and data traffic. In recent years, the development of China's vehicle insurance business is fast. But the problems in the vehicle insurance claims part, such as long processing time, low efficiency, high loss rate, have restricted the healthy development of the vehicle insurance business.For problem solving, we design the vehicle insurance claims system based on 3G technology. Under the guidance of the claim staff, the customer shoots a video of the scene and pictures by using his 3G mobile phone and then sends the video to the terminal of the claim staff. This can really simplifying the claims process, improve efficiency and save costs.The key technologies the system needs are analyzed, including the following issues:1. Analyze the main stream video compression algorithms and image compression algorithms, and select one which meets the requirements of the system.2. Analyze the security framework of the system and give the method of how to realize data security in the wireless part and wired part.3. Analyze the objectives of data transfer and the conditions of realization; the requirements of storage of the cell phone and the services.4. Introduce the operating system and the hardware configuration of smart phones. In this paper, we give the detailed design of the system, including: the overall structure of the system; hardware and software requirements of customer's phone to be met; client needs analysis and functional specification; insurance claims center system components; the needs analysis of insurance company management server and functional specification.This article first introduced the technology of 3G and the status of vehicle insurance claims system. And then propose the feasibility and necessity of the design 3G vehicle insurance claims system, and describes the key technology-related and then give the detailed design of the system.
