Research On RMB Internationalization Based On International Experience

In recent years, with the rapid growth of China's economy and overall national strength, the continuous improvement of international political status, and coupled with sustained and stable RMB exchange rate, the RMB's economic base and international credit has continuously upgraded, which makes the internationalization of RMB has increasingly become the focus at home and abroad.After financial crisis in 2007, rebuilding the international monetary system has raised again. To accelerate the internationalization of RMB, and occupied one place in the new international monetary system has become the problem scholars pay close attention to. Chinese government showed high responsibility in Asian finance crisis in 1997, which enhanced the international prestige of RMB. The people in these countries and areas come to agree and accept RMB as transact money and for international accounting. A lot of RMB circulate abroad. The tendency of RMB internationalization appears, probing the problem has much reality sense.Internationalization of RMB has a very profound sense. Not only we can get benefits from Internationalization, but more importantly, it can be able to enhance our position in the international arena. At present, RMB has been widely circulated in the country or region around us, which has laid a good foundation of RMB internationalization. However, in the process of internationalization, we will encounter great challenges and risks. In this paper, after analyzing the historical process of the three major currencies, the writer looks at the similarities and law, while fully draw upon theirs experience, together with the reality, we find out the risks and difficulties in process of internationalization of RMB may encounter, and for the potential constraints, get the policy and the related ready ahead of time. Ultimately, choose a suitable path of RMB internationalization.
