Research On The Growth Of Regional Finance Industry In Guangxi

Regional development has become a focus of our national development strategy, and a comprehensive regional development including economic growth and social well-being is a topic of concern. Regional finance is a substantial driving force of regional development, and its development is directly connected with its supporting role in regional economy. Based on theories of regional economics and industrial economics, the paper focuses on the issue of regional finance development, utilizing method of qualitative, quantitative, empirical and normative study.The paper begins with background, significance, method and content of the study. The second part reviews the relevant literature, including financial development theory, regional finance theory, financial geography theory, theory of industry growth and other relevant theoretical basis. Then the paper introduces the theory of regional growth of the financial industry, analysing from the aspects of regional financial development and financial industry growth. The following part is based on actual situation of Guangxi, providing a targeting of Guangxi regional finance growth according to specific condition and features of the province. Part V is an assessment of Guangxi finance industry according to size, structure, concentration,economic contribution and other aspects. Finally, summing up the experience in Tianjing, the paper provides suggestions to Guangxi regional financial development.The paper provides the following conclusion: current scale of Guangxi1 financial industry is small and of potentiallity; industrial structure is simple and the system is imperfect; industrial concentration is not high, and aggregation effect is not significant; contribution of the industry to regional economy is notable and growing. According to the features of the province and successful experience of Tianjin, Guangxi should make improvement in financial concentration, structure, innovation and environment. The paper has made following innovation: based on features of financial demand and current development of finance industry in Guangxi, drawing on experience of Tianjin, the paper provides decision-making basis for Guangxi finance industry development.
