Study On The Modes Of Circular Agriculture In Beijing City

At present,Circular Agriculture(CA) is rapidly practiced throughout of the coutry of China especially in Beijing.Those successful models have provided a good material for the theoretical study of CA.At the same time,the shortcomings is gradually exposed for the theoretical research lagging behind the practice.Based on the current situation of Agriculture in Beijing and relevant theories of circular economy(CE),the dissertation carries out an empirical analysis and design some innovative modes of CA for different district of Beijing by analyzing successful modes of CA in foreign countries. The main contents and results are as follows:1. Defining the concept of CA and the principles to be followed.CA which is developed on the basis of CE is a new concept and a new strategy of agricultural production.Under the principle of"Reduce,Reuse,Recycle",CA aims to realize a coordinated development of population, resources and environment by the means of Agricultural technology innovation and agricultrual change,on the premise that the economy is growing fast.CA has four principles: (1) Reduce,reuse,recycle; (2) The principle of adaptation to local conditions; (3) The principle of industrial convergence;(4) The principle of science and technology supporting.2. Analyzing the advantages and constraints of the development of CA in Beijing.The dissertation points out Beijing's strength in the areas of economic base, starting advantage, science-technology and human resource, and notes the restrictions in the land, water, point source pollution and service system and so on while developing CA.3. Carrying out the empirical analysis by selecting 2 successful cases which are"Xibaidian"Village in Pinggu District and"Miaoergang"Village in Fangshan District of Beijing. The case studies futher proves that extension of industrial chain and industrial integration can effectively solve the bottlenecks such as low utilization of agricultural resources and agricultural pollutions and so on encountered in traditional agriculture, and achieve the unity of economic, ecological and social benefits.4. Constructing some new modes of CA innovatively for Beijing. According to Beijing natural geographical features and the"Beijing City Master Plan 2004-2020", the dissertation divides Beijing into 2 regions,"Plain Agricultrual Region"and"Mountain Agricultural Region",and designs new modes matching the local characteristics respectively for the 2 regions.Finally,based on the preliminary study result and the analysis of typical cases, combined with foreign successful experience, eight suggestions including the promotion of existing mature pattern from, the transformation of organization, enhancing the cultural quality and technical level of farmers, key agriculture technology breakthrough, supporting policy and regulatory development, stepping up publicity and financial investment,and constrction of agricultural social service system have been put forword,which will effectively guide the practices of CA in Beijing City.
