Trading Financing Application In Marine Offshore Industry

In the 21st century, human, under pressures of land resources depletion, environment pollution, depression in landed life support system brought by industrialization, is turning its view to ocean one after another, and marine industry civilization by fully exploiting and utilizing marine resources is coming closer. Along with marine economics included into National "Twelfth FIVE Program", marine exploitation becomes the key point in China new emerging industry development. Offshore manufacture industry has already listed as "high-end equipment manufacture" one of seven strategic new emerging industry and be facing an unprecedented development opportunity.Vigorous development of marine industry and our marine manufacture industry provide a rare opportunity and strong motivation to help our national vessel industry transformation to offshore industry. Although offshore enterprises are facing huge opportunities, they also face how to solve funds problems. Due to offshore manufacture industry belonged to labor force and capital intension of large scale equipment industry. How to solve out funds problems in the process of manufacture is the vital factor to determine future development of offshore marine. Currently, the innovation of trade financing is an effective method to solve out funds pressure. This paper firstly analyzes the characteristics of self-fund usage, and then, based on actual situation, analyzes current issues of short-term finance which can not cover project construction period and traditional trading finance only covering partial shortage of funds under high value of single vessel. According to existing issues, the paper uses specific case to analyze buyer credit, seller credit, account receivable package loan, performance bond, financing lease and other financing modes under marine industry.The paper studies financing modes of large-scale equipment enterprises and provides all kinds of proposals and assumption of trade financing, and hopes for widening new trading financing ideas for Chinese future offshore industry which is practical meaning for trading finance of marine industry.
