Research On The Application And Future Of The Internet Of Things

In recent years, the internet of things has become a hot topic in the global discussions and key research, and a lot of countries have made it become the national strategies. At present, some primary applications of the internet of things have served for us in many fields, and these advanced primary applications let us firmly believe that the internet of things can create more economic value for us in the future. But because its development is in the initial stage, we have many difficulties to develop the internet of things, such as that its concept is unclear, its applications are insufficiency, its perspective is grim, etc.The study focuses on the application and development prospect of the internet of things. After summarizing the previous research, this study analyzes the present situation, the application fields and the prospect, and then proposes a series of advices for China to develop the internet of things according to the previous analysis.This study not only enriches the theory of the application and development research of the internet of things, but also can clear the cognitive uncertainties and help China taking specific actions to promote the development prospect of the internet of things.The innovation of this study includes:(1) Comprehensively summarize the application fields of the internet of things, and study its common functions for each field. Then, propose a two-dimensional subdivision model (the two dimension are function and customer), and find the key application fields through the model. (2) Because that the market statistical data of the internet of things is poor in our country, this study puts forward that using grey prediction model to forecast the future market scale. By collecting Chinese market data from 2006 to 2009, built the grey prediction model, forecast Chinese market scale of the internet of things in the next four years and analyze its growth space and development trend. This work makes up the shortage of quantitative research about the development prospect of the internet of things. (3) Using SWOT method to study Chinese present situation of the internet of things. The study summarizes the internal advantages and weaknesses, the external opportunities and threats, and proposes the reasonable suggestions for China to develop the internet of things.
