A Comparative Study On Aid To Africa Between China And The EU

Among China, the European Union and African countries, there are their own characteristics. For China, it's not only the largest developing country, but also the fastest growing developing country. For the European Union, it is the largest international foreign aid groups, which makes use of historical inertia and aid to Africa to keep the continuation and expansion of influence in the political, economic and other fields among African countries. For Africa, although it has vast territory and abundant resources, it is much poorer than any other continent. Therefore, there are a number of countries receiving assistance in Africa. They three have been staging a new version of "AID", which is related to aid to Africa, on the African continent since the mid-20th century. During this period, there are two different aid types which Show, respectively, "South-South cooperation" and "North-South cooperation" between China and the European Union.In this papers, I separately analyze different aid to African countries between China and the European Union. For China, I, first of all, investigate different stages of division on aid to African countries and analyze the four adjustments and developments according to different stages of aid-Africa policies. Secondly, I analyze the motivation, characteristics and trends on aid to African countries under the guidance of policy which takes on continuity and stages. Thirdly, I analyze foreign aid management system in China. Fourthly, I have a detailed analysis of the effectiveness of China's aid to Africa. For the EU, I'm also in accordance with the idea of analysis of China aid to Africa, related to different stages, policy adjustments, aid motivation, assistance features, foreign aid management, aid effectiveness. What I analyze between China and the European Union is to compare each other and to find their similarities and differences. To this end, I have done a thorough comparison in seven areas, including aid motivation, "conditions attached or not,""cooperative aid"and "dominant aid", aid management agencies, different aid focus areas, "bilateral aid" and "multilateral aid", aid effectiveness. In addition, I particularly analyze several issues related to in the process of assisting African countries. For instance, the question between China's aid to Africa and the "new colonialism"; China needs Africa or Africa needs China; whether implement the Chinese version of the African "Marshall Plan", as well as China and he European Union can share cooperation or not.Here, I have comparative analysis between China aid to African countries and the European Union aid to African countries in the hope of clarifying the historical process of EU aid to Africa reflected the general rules as well as the new tendency and advantages and disadvantages of each other in the 21st century.
