The Effects Of Logistics Information Technology To The Modern Logistics

Although logistics is an emerging industry, but because it has the outstanding contributions on reducing business costs and total social costs, so gets wide attention. With the rapid development of society the traditional logistics tend to unable to meet society's growing needs for logistics, so it must be converted to modern logistics industry. Logistics information technology is indispensable to the development of modern logistics industry. Logistics information technology is a modern information technology that is applied in all aspects of logistics operation, is the fundamental difference between traditional logistics and modern one. Development of modern logistics industry depends on the improvements of information technology, information technology has great boost on the development of modern logistics industry. Therefore, logistics information technology is widely used in all areas of logistics, and played a significant role on it.In recent years, rapid economic development in Xinjiang promoted the dramatic increase in the needs of regional logistics. At the same time, trade relations between Xinjiang and the five countries in Central Asia are getting closer and increased the demand of international logistics. In Xinjiang, the development of modern logistics and improvement of the efficiency of logistics have a large market potential. In the past decades, although autonomous region focusing on the construction of logistics informationization for the development of modern logistics industry in our region, but there are no clear objectives in terms of logistics information technology and still many problems are exist. Therefore, study on Xinjiang's logistics information and propose some measures are a profound significance. This thesis has four main components.Part I: Introduction. Introduces the definition, principles, characteristics of formation and technical function of logistics information, and discusses the meaning of logistics information technology, value, model of construction and important strategic position of logistics informationization, explain the meaning of modern logistics, the key logistics information technology, the difference and relationship between traditional and modern logistics. Analyze the important role of logistics information technology to the modern logistics.PartⅢ: Status of informationization of logistics industry in Xinjiang. Describe the current development situation of Xinjiang logistics industry. Analyze the problems on logistics industry informationization in Xinjiang.PartⅣ: Developed countries status of logistics informationization and the countermeasures for develop the informationization of logistics industry in Xinjiang. Describes the development trend of logistics information in developed countries such as United States and Japan, and summarize successful experience on development of the logistics industry of them, than provides solutions to the problems on logistics industry informationization in Xinjiang.
