On The Mechanism Of Logistics Information Infrastructure And The Development Path Of Informationization Of Logistics Enterprises In China

Logistics was crowned as the third source of profit for its prominent function in reducing cost of enterprises despite its short development history of about 70 years. In recent years, with the accelerating development of economic globalization and formation of the new economy, traditional logistics found itself hard to meet the growing logistics demand from various modern enterprises. Therefore, traditional logistics must take a new shape of modern logistics. Logistics informationization is no doubt the core in the development of modern logistics industry, on which the upgrade of logistics industry must rely for its further development. Currently, logistics informationization takes the lead in the process of modern logistics development. It is the most important and most difficult area in logistics modernization, which is also what China wants to achieve in the new century. As the basic component of the whole logistics industry, logistics enterprises must attach great importance to logistics informationization and consider it as the top priority in order to catch up with the development of modern logistics industry. In this case, it is of great importance to find out what the values of logistics information are, how logistics information and information technology can promote logistics management and finally formulate and set up development strategy for logistics enterprise informationization.Based on Economics, Management, Modern Logistics, Informatics and Supply Chain Management, this paper firstly lays a theoretical basis for future development of logistics enterprise informationization by analyzing the characteristics and formulation mechanism of logistics information, finding out what economic and technical values of logistics information are and analyzing the theoretical basis and development orientation of logistics enterprise informationization theory. Then, this paper puts forward several problems Chinese logistics enterprises are facing with in the process of developing logistics informationization by comparing with logistics-advanced foreign countries, and analyses its causes. Thirdly, this paper puts forward two development paths for logistics enterprises to choose in accordance with three areas: market, technology and management, which are three basic aspects inlogistics enterprise informationization. Finally, this paper comes to a clear conclusion that it is necessary to promote the strategy of logistics alliance oriented toward agile supply chain management, and analyses how logistics enterprises can realize the goal of meeting customer demands, creating customer values and strengthening their own competitive edge by utilizing modern logistics technology, remodeling their operation process and forming dynamic alliance in the form of virtual enterprises. The four key problems this paper is about to solve are as follows: the forming mechanism of logistics information;the structure and future development direction of logistics informationization theory;logistics enterprises' choice on the path of development in the process of developing informationization;and how to implement the strategy of logistics alliance oriented toward agile supply chain management.
