Order picking is playing a very important position in the distribution center, picking efficiency will directly influence the working efficiency and performance of the distribution center. Because picking itself has the characteristics of quickly and heavy, so choose staffs workload is bigger and tired easily. At present, the distribution center usually adopt zoning picking as its way of picking goods, this way improves the picking efficiency,but it also exists a bottleneck at the same time. This bottleneck is due to some factors which are imbalance that caused the tasks in each zone can not be synchronism finished, consequently, also caused the personnel workload imbalanced and time delayed. Because of storage location in distribution center will directly influences the workload and picking efficiency, so the most effective way of solving these problems is to assigning the storage location reasonably in zoning picking.This article is about order picking optimization in distribution center from the point of storage location assignment, and presents a set method and model of storage location optimization in zoning picking. The purpose is to solving the problem of unbalancing workloads in zoning picking, reducing the picking time and improving the picking efficiency. Mainly work as the following:First, it introduces the picking's concept, process,classification and so on in distribution center, analysis the influence factors of picking, comprehensively and detailedly explains the principles and strategies of storage location assignment in distribution center, and systems analyses the EIQ method and the application of this method in the order picking.Secondly, it summarizes the optimization method of order picking in distribution center, specific optimization strategy is depending on the specific problem, and different configuration with different optimization method will get a different result. It proposes from equipment configuration of picking system, picking strategy selection and storage location assignment to optimize the order picking work, also it gives the index of storage location assignment.Thirdly, it proposes a specific methods and steps from the point of view of storage location assignment to optimize in distribution. Then it establishes the storage location optimization mathematical models and methods for zoning picking in distribution center.In order to realizing the workload balance of each zone, it establishes a storage assignment model based workload balanced, which through the data analysis of the historical orders and mining similarity relationships among the goods, then looks for a heuristic algorithm for solving the model and realized through program and excel, finally proposes the evaluation method to prove that this method is effective.In order to solve the problem of how to assign the goods reasonable in the shelves after each zone's workload are balanced, it designs optimization model and solving method in a picking zone. Build a multi-objective combinatorial optimization mathematical model of two goals that time minimum and energy consumption, then design a genetic algorithm to solute the model and through the programming of C++ to realize.Finally, the paper applies the methods and steps into a distribution center, and calculates the model and the algorithm with some dates.Then analysis of the final results proves that the optimization is effective and feasible.The innovation of the paper is mainly embodied in the following aspects:(1)This paper put forward a method of two steps to optimize the storage assignment about zoning picking, which solve problems that how to make the balance among each zone to achieve work synchronous and how to reduce the picking time after reach the purpose of balance in workload.(2)In this paper the similarity of coefficient is improved, it does not only take two items appearing in the same order into considerate, but also the quantity of items and quantity of single time(3)The production line balancing theory is applied to parallel zoning picking process, establishes a optimization model with based by the balance of the workload in each zone, and puts forward a balance score model to evaluate the optimization method.(4)According to storage location assignment of internal zone, it built a multi-objective optimization model with the goal of minimum time and reducing energy consumption as possible and with genetic algorithm to solve.(5) It is used proportion choice to evolve and reverse variation when designing the genetic algorithm.In this paper, the methods and steps of storage location assignment optimization for zoning picking in distribution center will provide a certain theory and method support for distribution centers'management and practice.
