The Isolation Mechanism Evolution Of Search Engine Platform From Bilateral Networks Perspective

In the 21 st century, Internet plays a vital role, now it has become the lifeblood of the information society and the base of develop knowledge economy. In recent years, Internet information resources have a rapid expansion, search engines that can provide convenient retrieval services have become the core application of Internet, it also have profound effect in the development of the information society. However, rapid changes in search engine market had made search engines industry practice ahead of the enactment of laws and regulations related to Internet; Meanwhile, after more than a decade of development, the duopoly competition has gradually clear in the search engines market. What factors contributed to the accumulation of client resources in the search engines platform, whether the leading search engines companies have sustainable competitive advantage, they are all worth exploring.This research based on the comprehensive analysis of domestic and foreign scholars on platform enterprise resource accumulation in the two-sided network environment, pointed out some of the existing research shortcomings. Then proposed the key issues of the study:the accumulation and growth process of the two-sided resource of platform enterprise. This paper combines the two-sided network perspective and RBV theory, bases on the system analysis of search engines industrial environment, studies the accumulation and growth process of the two-sided resource of platform enterprise deeply, reveals the unique isolation mechanism which builds by leading search engines industry. Then this study combines with well-known search engine Baidu in China, analyzes the characteristics of the search engine isolation mechanism. At last, this study makes a number of building strategies on isolation mechanism for the enterprise platform, and proposes some corresponding policies and measures for our government. This not only has important reference value for the formation of the core competitiveness of search engines enterprises in China, but also has some significance for the Government in formulating relevant laws and regulations of the Internet market.
