The Economies Of Scale Evaluation Research Of Coal Port In Northern China

Energy is the material conditions of existence in the human society,and is the resource of economic development and social progress.lt plays an irreplaceable role in social development, and it is very important to sustain economic growth as the consumption of energy increasing (such as oil consumption growth). Energy has become the lifeblood of economic development in China, with the industrialization, the urbanization and accelerating the development of global economic integration, the deepening of China energy security, environmental protection and increasingly severe climate change, energy and more and more extensive concern of the whole society. The government is adjusted to improve energy policy, and adjust the energy structure, develop clean and renewable energy.Firstly, this paper describes the coal energy port in north China from broad aspect, and then selectively compares the transportation of coal between Tianjin Port,Qinhuangdao Port and Huanghua Port. After that it analyzes four factors which are related to the scale of ports. According to the economic theory that large scale economy can bring well economic benefits and the reality of the port, the paper analyzes the reason why the scale economy appears in the port with the relationship between the production scale and the cost, and expounds on its significance. Secondly, the paper chooses reasonable evaluation index and system related to the scale economy of the port by the tool of principal component analysis, and thanks to the data envelopment analysis model, it can demonstrate the Tianjin Port, at last, the paper gets the conclusion that Tianjin Port has the scale economy and is at the stage that increasing returns to scale; Through analysing the current situation of the scale in north China coal energy ports, we can state the direction of development, and the scale of port of cooperation between the ports of the important influence the development scale, and puts forward the development trend of future port scale so that the port can develop economic scale.
