The Research Of Competitive Evaluation For Liaoning Coastal Port

With the acceleration of economic globalization and the arrival of the 12th Five-year Program, China's economy has entered the critical moment of rapid development and transformation. Port makes an increasingly obvious promotion for urban economy development as the window opening to the outside, the hub of land and sea transport of goods, the storage & distribution center for international commodity and trade,processing industry and related transport services. Liaoning is the only coastal province in northeast China and its south lies to Bohai Sea, east approaches to Yellow Sea, its coastaline is rich in resource. It speeds up urban development for five coastal cities relying on the port and effectively promotes the upgrading of industry & economy belt for Liaoning coastal industrial zone, that bring out Earth-shaking changes to many port occupations. Coastal economy has driven rapid development of regional economy and society comprehensively and made remarkable brilliant achievement. However, it is facing many practical problems to the development of Liaoning coastal ports. There is no suitable index evaluation system to make effective evaluation of competitiveness for five coastal cities in Liaoning. Therefore, the paper aims at studying competitive evaluation system and method which is consistent with port developmental status for all coastal cities in Liaoning, in order to solve the urgent problem during developing period.On the base of relevant evaluation theory, the paper makes a study of systematic analysis and comprehensive evaluation on port competitiveness for Dalian port, Yingkou port, Dandong port, Jinzhou port, Panjin port, with the combination of theoretical discussion and analysis, using the analysis theory of the combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. First of all, it should establish port competitiveness evaluation index system in universal significance, and then, we should make an evaluation of port competitiveness and make a rank of their development for the five cities using the index system and choosing the analysis of principal component. Finally, according to the conclusive data and comparative insufficient, the paper makes an analysis and proposes the further strategies and suggestions for developing Liaoning coastal ports.
