With the development of China's export-oriented economy, more and more Chinese companies have already become overseas investors. Nowadays, Chinese government attaches great importance to Chinese companies'Outward Foreign Direct Investment (OFDI). It is very helpful for Chinese government and companies to put overseas investment strategy into practice by analyzing macroscopic influencing factors of China's OFDI.This dissertation summarizes major foreign direct investment theories, especially the theories about FDI from developing economies, and the literatures about influencing factors of China's OFDI. The following part is about the analysis of some characteristics about the development history, investors, industries and locations of China's OFDI. Then the dissertation analyzes the influential mechanisms of OFDI's macroscopic influencing factors. This dissertation establishes a panel data model to do empirical analysis by data about China's OFDI to 52 economies from 2003 to 2009. The result shows that positive relations separately exist between host country's GDP, bilateral trade volume, and host country's opening degree with China's OFDI; and negative relations separately exist between relative wage, exchange rate with China's OFDI. China and host country's FTA has no obvious relation with China's OFDI.In the end, the dissertation summarizes some policy suggestions for Chinese government and companies, according to the previous empirical analysis results.
