Study On "Long Worship" Custom Of Miao People

"Ji Long", "An Long", "Jie Long" and "Zhao Long" are the acient custom of Miao people. With the core of Long worship and the carrier of the custom inheritance they survive for thousands of years. Those four customs which are in the different Miao areas show obverious local characters in terms of the ceremony content."Zhao Long" custom with various style and meaning is popular in the Leigong mountain area of Guizhou province. Together with the other Long worship customs, "Zhao long" lays the foundation for the research of the Long worship origin.This paper uses literature review, field research and comparative analysis, and conducts a suvey and a research of the Miao people Long worship custom especially "Zhao long" under a folklore perspective. This paper is made up of four parts:the introduction, the main content, the concolution and the appendix. In the introduction this paper introduces the character and disadventages of the Long worship research of Miao people nowadays. Also, the introduction part introduces the theoretical basis and research method of this paper.The four parts of the main contents are:the Long worship custom, the research of the "Zhao long" custom in three parts of Miao people in Censong of Jianhe county, "Zhao long" custom analysis, and the comparation of the Long worship of Miao people and Han people. The first part introduces the four different custom:"Ji long", "An long", "Jie long" and "Zhao long". The second part represents the result of the field research whose object is the three pares of Miao people in Censong, Jianhe county of Guizhou province. The content of the research is the "Zhao long" custom. The third part analyses and explains the custom based the origin and inhertitation; the Long theory of "Zhao long"; and the divinity of the Long based on the "Zhao long" custom. The forth part is a comparation analysis. It compares the Long worship custom of Miao and Han people. The concolution part is the summary of the whole paper, and this part points out the problems of the research conducted by the shoolar. It based on the "Long worship" of Miao people put forward the view that the nature of Long worship is a kind of the nature worship. The appendix part is the research interview.
