Study Of Micro-foundation For The Formation Of Agglomeration Economy

Regional economics as an important branch of economics is difficult to be into mainstream economics, The fundamental reason is that regional economics has been unable to find a widely accepted and logic self-consistent theorem of micro-foundation. Therefore, the study of microscopic foundation of regional economics is one of the main aspects which is restricting the study of theory of regional economics. In order to promote development of study of regional economics, there must to be a breakthrough of the study of its microscopic foundation.This thesis choose the microscopic foundation of the formation of agglomeration economy as a research starting point by comparing the study path of microscopic foundation of regional economics. Then the thesis resort the literature of agglomeration economy to find problems in existing research, especially controversy in the study of microscopic foundation of the formation of agglomeration economy by drawing into the new reference documents classification method. We summarize these controversy into two respects, one is the plight of economic entities, another is the plight of spatial factors. The thesis lead into five new concepts:aggregation tendency of the individual,narrow accumulation of factors,generalized accumulation of factors,endogenous aggregation,exogenous aggregation based on the analysis of plights. After that, we demonstrate the theory of generation of aggregation behavior of the individual and define the shadow price of aggregation goods by model analysis of microscopic foundation of formation of agglomeration economy by way of guarding aggregation goods as a starting point. Then, the thesis establish the relationship between aggregate utility function and aggregate size by a series of mathematical derivation. And then, we describe the change process of a representative group by analysis of changes of total utility of aggregation and marginal utility of aggregation. Then the thesis elaborate evolution path from aggregation of individual to formation of aggregation economy, at the same time, classified study of type of group evolution.The thesis has established logic self-consistent framework by guarding aggregation tendency of individual as a starting point, and identified aggregation tendency of individual as the psychological basis of aggregation behavior of individual by the perspective formation of a balanced human behavior. We have basically solved two delights in study of microscopic foundation of aggregation economy, and defined evolution process from aggregation behavior of individual to formation of aggregation economy。The conclusion and perspective of this thesis is very important to the study of microscopic foundation of regional economics.
