The Construction Of China Earthquake Insurance

China is one of the countries which earthquakes frequently occur. During the year 2005 to 2009, in China, the earthquakes caused an average economic losses of 172.117 billion RMB per year, which maily relied on the functional aid offered by the government and the contribution made by the insurance company was less than 3%. On the international plane, the method to withstand earthquakes is mainly earthquake insurance. Earthquake insurance is an effective form for aid after disasters, and the earhquake insurance system is not only reducing the government financal pressure, enlarging the advantage of the government finance investment, but also containing the risk management skills as well as reinsurance.This paper includes six parts. The first part is introduction, mainly talking about the background information of the subject selection, the present research situation, and this essay's creation and shortcoming; The second part outlines the catastrophe insurance, the catastrophe insurance's present and history of development. The third part is necessity and feasibility of earthquake insurance system in China. The fourth part is the revelation of typical countries and districts earthquake insurance system. The fifth part is the construction of China's earthquake insurance system, putting forward a system suitable to development in China's actual conditions ,mainly through the following three aspects, the implementation of the principles, implementation modalities, implementation mechanisms. The sixth part is the conclusion.
