During the late 80s and the early 90s of the 20th century, there were two remarkable new trend appeared in the world economy. One is the rapid global economic integration, the other is the regional bilateral and multilateral economic and trade cooperation leaps and bounds. Under this new situation, the financial integration is an important part of the world economic integration, which has a positive and far-reaching impact on world economic development and even international political stability. In recent years, with the continuous development of regional organizations, regional monetary cooperation in East Asia has made some significant progress which attracts the world wide attention. Under the condition that the country's increasingly close links between the financial crisis and the enhanced defection of IMF, the countries in East Asia have recognized the necessity and urgency of the regional monetary cooperation from East Asian financial crisis and the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis. In this background, the study on the feasibility of East Asian regional monetary cooperation and China-depth research of coping strategies is very significant in accelerating the process of East Asian monetary cooperation and promoting China's active participation. In this paper, we carry out an in-depth analysis and research according to three aspects: the feasibility of regional monetary cooperation in East Asia, East Asian Monetary Cooperation and China's Strategy of Choice. Consequently, based on the studying on three aspects, i.e. the background of East Asian regional monetary cooperation, the situation and the theoretical, we analyze and investigate the feasibility of East Asian regional monetary cooperation. Furthermore, the research on the regional monetary cooperation model shows that Asian monetary cooperation is a long and dynamic process, during which there is a rational choice for East Asian Currency Cooperation. Finally, in the view of the above research, an analysis about the influences of the monetary cooperation on China is conducted in this paper. The results indicate that it will bring China both opportunities and challenges. Meanwhile, we propose some strategies and recommendations for China in the forth part.
