On The Correlation Of Small-Medium Enterprises' Social Capital And Credit Level

In the market economy system of our country, small-medium enterprise(sme) is aspecial group. Considering with big enterprises, their solvency is relatively small, sothere are some financing disadvantages in their development process. How to improvethe predicament and improve the credit level is a problem to be solved.Social capital is a kind of important social structural resource of enterprises. It isproductive, and can get some scarce resources for enterprises. Now for sme in supplychain, social capital is a kind of important resource considering to material capital andhuman resource. When sme is lack of the two kind resources, social capital can gettransformation. The productive nature of social capital can provide guarantee for smesolvency. At the same time, social capital is easy to damage but difficult to construct, thischaracteristics improves the repayment willing of sme. The guarantee of solvency andrepayment willing improves credit level of sme.This paper summarizes the research situation of in and out, and according to thecharacteristics of sme in supply chain, it constructs the measurement infrastructure forsme in supply chain. It divides social capital to three part, called social capital ofsupply chain, social capital between sme and government, social capital between sme andsocial organizations. With the measurement infrastructure, this paper designsquestionnaire, and distributes to 416 smes by Shandong branch of China Bank.Using theresults of questionnaire, it extracts three important factors of sme social capital, they areinteraction between government and sme, cooperation in supply chain and knowledgetransformation. With the relation between the three factors and sme social capitalmeasurement index, this paper finds the way to calculate sme social capital score.Through the correlation analysis, this paper get the conclusion of the two variablescorrelated, and proves the correlation between sme social capital and credit level. Thispaper can provide reference for later theoretical research and practical application.
