The development and application of information technology transform management models profoundly on a global scale, especially in the worldwide economic crisis conditions, which makes competitive environment increasingly intense, so that to use information technology improving the comprehensive competitiveness of enterprises has become a consensus. With the development of information technology, information systems leap over organizational boundaries, start from simple, closed and within-organizational information systems to complex, open and inter-organizational information systems. Advantages are inclined to the dominant core enterprises in the supply chain during the process of establishing and implementing Inter-organizational information systems. However, whether non-core enterprises in the supply chain adopt inter-organizational information systems or not, will affect the implementation of inter-organizational information systems inevitably. Therefore, it is very important to study the factors affecting non-core enterprises'adoption of inter-organizational information systems, under the condition that core enterprises force the other non-core enterprises in the supply chain to adopt inter-organizational information system.Based on the related literature of inter-organizational information systems, this paper further elaborates both technical factors affecting the adoption of inter-organizational information systems and their influence mechanisms, and organizational factors affecting the adoption of inter-organizational information systems and their influence mechanisms, and then puts forward a theoretical model of the factors affecting the adoption of inter-organizational information systems in compulsory context. In this paper, data from automotive industry have been collected through the way of questionnaire. In the survey, a total of 200 questionnaires were sent while 169 questionnaires were returned, of which 153 questionnaires were valid, response rate was 84.5%, effective recovery rate was 76.5%. On this basis, this paper uses SPSS16.0 to test data reliability, validity and normality; the results show that data meet the requirement to do structural equation model analysis. Then, this paper introduces structural equation model, uses AMOS7.0 to perform model estimation, goodness-of-fit test and path analysis, and modifies the theoretical model according to the analysis results. Finally, this paper verifies assumptions proposed and discusses the causal relationship and the influence degree between variables based on revised theoretical model. The results show that the more technological relative advantage, the less technological complexity, the smaller organizational size, the lower degree of organizational centralization, and the higher degree of organizational formalization, the easier adoption of inter-organizational information systems. But the relationship between technological compatibility and adoption of inter-organizational information systems is not significant. According to the analysis and discussion of empirical results, combined with our country's current reality, this paper points out four suggestions to promote adoption of inter-organizational information systems in compulsory context, which are increasing technological relative advantage perception, decreasing technological complexity perception, carrying out decentralized management mode and building formalized institutional system. This paper proposes reference value to enterprises practices.
