| . China is a large agricultural country and the"agriculture, village, peasants" issues are related to the national economy as a whole. Since the reform and opening policy, the national economy is developing rapidly in a long time, but the rural and agricultural development is lagging behind with the slow increase of peasant's incomes. For a major agricultural province of Xinjiang in western China, agriculture is in large proportion of the national income and agricultural development has significant geographical features, so to explore the impact of public investment in agricultural infrastructure in Xinjiang on rural economic growth will inspire significantly the development of agriculture in other central and western provinces and regions.The correlation of public investment in infrastructure with economic growth has long been concerned. Because different parts of Xinjiang have different economic development level, the characteristics of public investment in infrastructure also have their specificity. At present because of the lack of systematic research on the influence of agricultural infrastructure public investment on rural economic growth in Xinjiang and the different return rate of public investment in infrastructure, On the base of reorganizing the existing research results this article defines the connotation of agricultural public investment and agricultural infrastructure and illuminates the related theories of public investment in agricultural infrastructure, and then analyzes the development status quo of agricultural infrastructure in Xinjiang and the existing problems, and at last qualitatively describes the relationship between public investment in agricultural infrastructure and rural economic growth. On this basis, this essay selects 20 counties and sub-regionally uses Panel Data model in order to empirically analyze. At last it reveals that public investment in agricultural infrastructure in Xinjiang to promote economic growth is of regional characteristics. Learned from the foreign and domestic experience about public investment in agricultural infrastructure in eastern and central regions, it raises some policies and recommendations about public investment in agricultural infrastructure in Xinjiang with a view to enlighten the modern agricultural development in other central and western provinces or regions. |
