Management by Projects (MBP) is the future direction of enterprises operating mode and a solid foundation for good management. MBP meets the requirements of economy globalization. It is a symbol of integration to international economy. It is also the requirement of enterprise management. And in the last analysis, it is the requirement of enterprise survival and development. The implementation of MBP can be a method for internal supervision, as well as an innovation of managing mode. Enterprises need to research how to effectively implement it. As a nuclear power equipment manufacturer, Shandong Nuclear Power Equipment Manufacturing Company (SNPEMC) is a typical technology-intensive and innovative manufacturing enterprise. The characteristics, such as high standards, high quality, and rapid development, require strengthened practice and research of MBP. Aimed at characteristics of nuclear equipment manufacturers as high tech, fast market changes and keen competition, and through some cases, MBP of SNPEMC is analyzed and researched in this thesis.Through the method of combination of theoretical analysis and practical research, the traditional managing mode of equipment manufacturing enterprises in China is analyzed and its inapplicability is indicated. Meanwhile, combining the experiences of MBP domestic and abroad, the necessity and applicability for nuclear equipment enterprises to bring in the conception of project management is raised. At the same time, combining the facts of enterprise management and development of SNPEMC and some MBP cases of SNPEMC during enterprise fabrication and management, the experiences and shortages during projectification are analyzed. At last, a managing and operating mode suitable for SNPEMC to play a part in market competition and to grow stronger is raised.
