In recent years, our market is flooded with a great number of fake and shoddy products that endanger people's life and property safety. The quality security of products concerns people's basic needs of survival and development. It is the objective requirement of scientific development concept that sticks to the people-oriented, comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development. It is an important foundation of building a socialist harmonious society.Because the professions that factory and consumer engage in are different, the distribution of true information of the product quality between them is non-symmetrical. As a result, the problems that consumers are cheated and hurt occur easily. The market itself is out of order to this. To carry out an equal footing in the product quality information between the consumer and factory as far as possible and protect the consumer rights, it is necessary that the government supervision and regulations should be participated in. As the agent of consumer, the government supervision and regulation organizations execute the function of supervising business enterprises.In the analytical process, this text defines the category of supervision and regulation of product quality and introduces the concepts that are related to it such as product, product quality, product quality security etc. And then, there is an overview to the theories of the supervision and regulation of product quality. In order to make the research more meaningful, this article investigated the actual circumstance of the supervision and regulation of product quality in our country currently. Taking Fengxian District, an outer suburb of Shanghai, for an example, the paper carefully analyzes the product quality security status, the existed problems and the reasons of our country. Based on the product quality supervision experience of the United States, Britain, Japan , Germany and other developed countries, this paper advances several suggestion of improving the way of the supervision and regulation of product quality security of our country. We expect to reach the purpose of deterring incidents, such as sailing inferior products by illegal manufacturers, endangering the safety of the consumers'person and property and so on. The purpose of this study is to improve suggestion of ameliorating the supervision and regulation of product quality security of the government of our country.
