Research On Development Strategy Of Space-Truss & Steal-Structure Enterprises In Xuzhou City

The thesis focuses on development-strategy issues about space-truss & steel-structure enterprises in XuZhou city. At present, technical level of the rising trade of space-truss & steel-structure (space structure) in a country is a important reference point for measuring its building industry, as well as a reflection of its overall strength. With the china's entry into WTO and development of important socioeconomic activities such as bidding for 2008 Olympic Games and preparation for 2010 World's Fair, there are numbers of high-standard public buildings such as gymnasiums, meeting & exhibition centers, terminal buildings of airport to be constructed in our country during the next 10 years, which provides a good opportunity for development of space-truss & steel-structure trade of our country, also intensifies competition between enterprises in the industry and makes it harder for them to survive. So, it is imperative under the situation for them not only to analyze management environment and its changes, but to think over how to survive it and even thrive. To fulfill that goal, in-depth research must be conducted about development strategy of enterprises, and practicable development strategies must be made out.Formulation and implementation of development strategy of enterprises are complicated works. The thesis starts with present situation of space-truss & steel-structure enterprises in our country, analyzing macroscopical environments of politics, economy, technology and society with PEST method. Then analyzes management environment and competition pattern of space-truss & steel-structure enterprises with help of Porter's Five Force Model. And analyzes internal environment of enterprises in XuZhou, including enterprise quality, business network, business resources, etc, for investigating its superiorities and inferiorities, opportunities and threatens to be confronted with, with SWOT model and other tools. And then analyzes strategic position, the thesis analyzes strategic position of space-truss & steel-structure enterprises in XuZhou, using analysis tools of strategy clustering model, Boston matrix, strategy selection matrix, value chain, etc, and based on that, a total strategy which should be adopted by space-truss & steel-structure enterprises in XuZhou, namely, diversification strategy, is put forward; Finally, the thesis discusses implementation and evaluation of diversification strategy, and sub-strategies of component development such as technical strategy, human-resources strategy, financing strategy, etc, which are supporting implementation of total strategy.
