Study On The Land Use Change And Its Driving Forces Of Burqin In Xinjiang

The research of land use change is the foundation of the ecological environment change research, and it is also the scientific policy-making basis which regulates the human behavior. It concerns a series of serious issues widely, such as effectively development, utilization and reasonably protection of regional resources, protection and restoration of the ecological environment, protection of the farmland, and food security and the social economy sustainable development and so on. Thus it will have crucial influence on the development of future.Burqin County lies in middle and lower area of Erqis drainage area in Xinjiang. It is an poverty and backward area with frail ecological environment and where the resources are relatively rich but the economy is developing. With the economical development and population increase, the type, quantity and structure of land use have continuously been changing. The contradictions between the land resource use and the ecological environment protection, and keeping harmony between development of the farming, forestry and pasture and so on become sharp increasingly. It is important to seek the land reasonable development measure for the sustainable use of the land.Therefore, we must clearly know the process and track of land use change, thus find the drive which influences the land use change, to provide the correct suggestion on land resource layout and use for the policy-maker.Based on RS and GIS, the dynamic change and landscape pattern change of land use in Burqin is analyzed in this dissertation by the method of model analysis and statistics, and the drive influence on land use change is also discover..The results show that:The land of mountain and desert in Burqin is mainly composed of woodland, lawn, marsh and virgin soil, and the area of plain and hill have six types of land. From the dynamic of land use, we can see that desert area belongs to rapid change type, plain second rapid change type, and mountain and hill slow change type. Derived from transform matrix, change among woodland, lawn and farmland is the main form of the land use change, and the second form is the transformation from forest land to unexploited land. The proportions of farmland, inhabitant and traffic land increase greatly. From the angle of landscape, the woodland, and lawn are the dominant landscape, which is inlayed with farmland, inhabitant and traffic land and so on. Contrast to spatial index of different subarea, the diversity of landscape in plain reach peak, and in desert reach trough. From the time change of each index, in mountain, hill and desert the diversity index decreases, but dominant index increases. In plain the diversity index increases, but the index of dominance, fragmentation and dimension decreases. The change extent of land use in study area in prophase is bigger than in anaphase. The area of woodland, marsh and virgin soil decreases, and the area of farmland, inhabitant, traffic, and lawn increases. The change velocity of farmland is faster than any other land types in the country. And it has distinct difference in subarea. The land use change is mainly caused by the development of the economy and technology, the population growth, the agricultural structure adjustment, the policy and so on. Last, the author puts forward to land resource sustainable use suggestion: reasonably using land, coordinated developing farming and lawn, optimizing ecological environment; Protecting forest resources, realizing forest resources sustainable development, vigorously developing ecology tourism etc,. they will provide the theory basis for sustainable development of this county.
