Research On Space Resource Industry And Its Development In Our Country

The exploitation and utilization of space resources has become a new field in which the world's great powers compete fiercely since it entered the new century. The space resource industry is characterized by high industry linkage and strong capacity for sustainable development. It is a sunrise industry and is believed to be a new source of the world economic growth in the future. Therefore, it is of great significance to research how to develop the space resource in our country.The thesis mainly studies space resource industry and its path in our country. Firstly, the concept of space resource industry is defined, its characteristics analyzed and impacts presented on national defense and security, economic development, science and technology progress and sustainable development. Secondly, suggestions are put forward on the development mode of our space resource industry based on comparing the scales of industry, the concentration of industry, the intensity of research and development and the quantity of patent of our space resource industry with foreign countries'. The author also take industrialization, new industrialization theory, industry life cycle theory, industry policy theory and industry support policies into actual situation in China before presenting these suggestions. These suggestions cover such aspects as human resources, technologies, regulations, capitals, risks, laws, infra-construction and so on. Finally, an empirical analysis is made which focuses on the industry of satellite navigation. The author proposed some advices according to the current problems of the industry in our country.The author makes dome tentative efforts to complement the category of resource discipline by constructing the frame of theoretical research on space resource industry and defining spatial resourceology. It is hoped that the topic will draw more attention from scholars and professionals at home and abroad. Therefore further studies will be made so as to achieve the rapid, steady and sustainable development of space resource in our country.
