Research Of Agglomeration Effect Of East Asia's Direct Investment In Fujian Province

Utilization of foreign capital is very important for the economic development of Fujian province with prosperous export-oriented economy. As a major source of foreign capital for Fujian province, East Asia has great influence on economic development of Fujian province for its direct investment. It has long been a hot spot in academic circle. But the previous research of East Asia's investment in Fujian province is focused on qualitative research and its overall scale, the empirical research or investigation from the perspective of countries and regions is comparatively less and the investigation concentrates on the effect of East Asia's investment on macro -economy. The industrial agglomeration has emerged continually in Fujian province, and promoted overall economic competitiveness of Fujian province. So comes the issue about the role foreign capital in Fujian's economy plays in the industrial agglomeration of Fujian province, it is meaningful to investigate the issue extensively and thoroughfully. The paper adopts agglomeration effect to analyze capital from East Asia, that is to say, the investigation about the effect of East Asia's direct investment on Fujian's economy starts with agglomeration, based on which some advices about the thinking to attract foreign capital for Fujian province are presented.To analyze agglomeration effect of East Asia's investment in Fujian is a new trial, and theoretical analysis and empirical analysis are well integrated in the paper. The paper firstly reviews relevant theories about industrial agglomeration, summarize relevant factors affecting FDI agglomeration by integrating the character of FDI, and thus establishes theoretical framework for analysis. In order to subjectively reflect the issue, the paper adopts such statistical analysis methods as correlation analysis, establishing equation of linear regression etc to confirm whether there is agglomeration in Fujian or not and how about the agglomeration effect, etc.The result gained from empirical analysis shows that East Asia's direct investment is significantly positively correlated with Fujian's economy, there is remarkable agglomeration for East Asia's direct investment in Fujian province, but East Asia's investment generally concentrates on low-tech and...
