Management- by-objective is a sort of science-oriented excellent management model put forward and advocated by Peter Drucker, a great management master, which has been successfully applied in numerous firms all over the world. However, how shall management-by-objective be exercised remains to be a realistic challenge confronted by a great many domestic enterprises.In the process of actual implementation of management-by-objective, we shall not only master specific method, but also comprehend the connotation and substance of management-by-objective concept, perform in-depth analyses on the present status of enterprise management, establish and improve various rules and regulations so that the implementation of management-by-objective will be established on the basis of certain concept and scientific management.Fortunately, I participated in the concept design and concrete implementation of management-by-objective for a few enterprises, and obtained some personal experiences in terms of features and execution methods of it. This study is actually a summary of my personal experience and speculation in this respect. It firstly deals with concept and method of management-by-objective, and summarizes the applications in some Chinese enterprises. Then it takes Xinyi Automobile Accessories Co., Ltd. as an example, analyzes and discusses concept design and execution method for management-by-objective; at last on the basis of experiences and lessons obtained in the implementation of management-by-objective in Xinyi, specific countermeasures and proposals are offered regarding how to exercise management-by-objective.To evolve into a genuine world-class enterprise, China's enterprises must endeavor to learn and exert advanced management thoughts and instrument, wage a profound revolution in management style. Management-by-objective is still a new tendency in China's management development, hence, executive staff in various organization need to make ceaseless exploration to perfect it. It is hoped that the argument presented in the study will offer valuable reference for enterprise management personnel that is concerned about management-by-objective.
