Mass customization (MC) is a new producing mode which provides individual or customized products and corresponding services with a cost close to mass production. As a result of MC's customer-oriented characteristic and agility, the pricing method is in higher demand. The thesis is to present a cost estimation method and pricing model through the study on the characteristics of mass customized product and its pricing.First, the concept of MC and the characteristics of its production and product is addressed. In the second chapter, pricing mode, namely technical pricing, financial pricing and business pricing is detailed after the presentation of the pricing features of mass customized products. Then, according to the four customization levels, namely package, assembly, manufacture and design customization, the thesis brings forward the cost estimation methods based on CODP. Artificial neural network is used in manufacture and design customization. Considering the structural factor like cost and other non-structural factors which affects price, a pricing model of MC products based on BP ANN is constructed. The practicability and effectiveness of ANN being applied on this research area is tested through an example of mobiles in the fifth chapter.In the end, the main research content and conclusion, as well as the problems existing are summarized, the outlook of consequent study is presented.
