Information goods' characteristics decide its price is synthetically based on the consumers' utility and the firm's monopoly ability, none occupies the predominant position. Again, a most obvious characteristic of information goods is that its fixed cost is very high but its marginal cost is very low, which make little sense of information goods pricing on base of cost.According to information goods' characteristics and the domestic and international related studies' present condition, This paper relatively deeply analyses several typical methods of price decision of information goods firms in our country, and analysis in any situation, the methods of the manufacturer's price decision can obtain the biggest profit, the consumer can obtain the biggest effectiveness. This paper generally includes four parts, and its concrete content is as follows:(1) This chapter has analyzed economical characteristics of the information products. The information product has different economical characteristics from the physical product .the characteristics includes: The information product has the special cost structure, its marginal cost is very low, and other characteristics such as monopoly ,Variability, Replicate, Sharing and so on. The information product's characteristics, which include the high fixed cost and the low marginal cost, causes the tradition method of price decision which is based on the cost is no longer suitable. The manufacturer's method of price decision must base on the various factors such as the customer effectiveness ,only then to be able to obtain the income.(2) The characteristics of The information product ,which is different from the traditional product ,decide that This kind of product market mechanism has its unique characteristic, and which also has the important influences to regarding the information product price structure the important influence to the price forming of the information product.
