Study On Green Competitiveness Of Chinese Listed Companies In Metallurgy Industry Based On The Environmental Information Disclosure

Environment constitutes the prerequisite for the survival of human being as well as the material base for the sustainable development of our society. Therefore it is the common view of all people who desire"Peace and Development"to protect our living environment and practice the strategy of sustainable development. To bring this view into the operational norm that everyone observes, all the interest groups including various enterprises should pledge their commitments and make unremitting efforts. In an era of rapid development in industry and economy, enterprises must spurn the ways of development at the expenses of the environment but seek sustainable development achieved under harmonious coexistence between man and the nature. They have no choice than this one. Enterprises must construct and step up the green competitiveness to win in the drastic market competition. Meanwhile, we public should promote the enterprises'environment protection behavior by every measures to upgrade their green competitiveness. The main route to approach the enterprises'environment protection behavior is the environmental information disclosed by enterprises. Therefore, this paper analyzes the metallurgy industry's green competitiveness based on environmental information disclosure.Metallurgy industry is technology, capital, resource and energy-intensive industry, it relates with many industries, so it is the important base of national economy and the key symbol of the nation economy , social development and the integrate strength. Meanwhile, metallurgy industry is a heavy pollution industry, it's very necessary and important to research on the green competitiveness of the metallurgy industry. The listed companies always are the excellent-performance ones, and their data and information are complete comparatively, therefore, the study on the green competitiveness of the listed companies weighs heavily to the economic development and environment protection.
