Research On Land System Transition In Zhuge Ancient Village

The core of rural problem in china is farmers' problem, while the core of farmers' problem is still rural land problem. The land system relates to not only sustained development of agricultural economy and rural stability, but also sustained growth of national economy and social solidarity. Based on previous research, the paper selects ZhuGe village in LanXi city, ZheJing province as the sample to study. ZhuGe village is the biggest gathering area for descendants of ZhuGe Liang, who was an outstanding thinker, militarist and prime minister in the Three Kingdom period. It was built about 700 years ago, and is now a national cultural relic protection unit and a 4-A class national scenic area. By studying the rural land system transition in ancient villages, the author attempts to summarize historical experiences and put forward suggestions on reforming and protecting the rural land system in China's ancient villages.The author follows the basic principle of Marxist political economics and collects data through household surveys and interview of farmers in a bid to record the transition of rural land system in Zhuge village as true as possible. On one hand, the author conducts literature review with the focus on the changes of feudal land system in different dynasties as reflected in official historical records, such as the county annals of Lanxi and other documents concerning land system changes. On the other hand, with the help of the folk history materials such as village land contract writs and account books kept by rural households, the author selects typical land plot and property transaction contracts for qualitative analysis and studies the transaction volume, trading prices and rents for quantitative analysis in order to reveal the specific arrangements on rural land system at that time.
