Research On Regulatory Issues Of China's Securities Industry

As a new industry in china, the securities industry has become an important part of china's national economy after years' development. The securities industry has not only provided significant financing support during the conversion of planned economy to market economy in china, but has also gone into people's daily economic lives, and has deeply affected corporations and people's behaviors. Because of the particularity of securities industry and its radical role in national economy, all countries which have securities markets have already adopted government regulation on their securities markets. Thus, it has important practical significance to study how to regulate a country's securities industry and promote its development.Focusing on regulatory issues of china's securities industry, this article firstly reviews the literature related to regulation of securities industry, and analyses the origin of regulation on securities industry. After giving a survey on china's current securities regulation, the article reveals the existing problems on the regulation and the challenges that China's securities industry has been facing with. The article then summarizes some systems of regulation on the securities industries in several developed countries, and draws the trend of their securities industry development and some hints to China. Finally, for dealing with those problems and challenges, the article explores the ways to improve the regulation on china's securities industry.According to the requirements for dealing with the problems and challenges, based on considerations on China's current conditions, the experiences from developed countries and the trend of the securities industry development, this article puts forward some suggestions from four aspects: to transfer cautiously the system of regulation, to adjust moderately the contents and ways of regulation, to build the legal systems of the industry as soon as possible, and to establish perfect regulation systems of internet securities businesses. It is desired that all these above would be helpful to improve China's regulation on securities industry.
