In recent years, non-state-owned foreign trade businesses witnessed a rapid development. But their difficult situation in obtaining financing support somehow hindered their development. This paper analyses the growth background for non-state-owned foreign trade businesses, explores the difficult situation for these enterprises to obtain financial support, and concludes that poor financial management within these enterprises leads to the difficult situation and prevents these businesses from obtaining funds they need badly. Businesses may decide their financing needs and financing channels with the help of certain theoretical support and calculation tools. So that financing management as well as the funds management can be well tied with sales management to achieve the maximised benefits, reduced costs, and lower capital risks. This paper categorizes and analyses from the points of financing channels and financing needs, studies the factors that businesses have to consider when they reach financing decisions, and focus on discussion of the relationship between trade finance terms and import/export businesses, financing risks and risk controls.
