| At the beginning of the Second World War, the main international division between developing countries and developed countries were vertical division, and in the global structure, developing countries were in periphery based on the"center- periphery"theory. However, after decades of developing, those countries's performance now shows imbalance and hiberarchy.Based on plenty of specific data, the article proves some developing countries have gained horizontal division with developed countries by their favorable policies, advantages and proper international opportunities. Thus nowdays they are in a position of both horizontal division and vertical division. The relationship between them and developed countries, has become from dependent to reciprocal, which means they are half way from periphery to center. These countries definitely are benefiting from globalization, through which they have updated their own industry and strengthened their economy. However, for the developing countries still at the previous structure of the division, the international division has not brought about the interests of sustainable growth. This change can be attributed to both external and internal factors. The main external factor is that globalization today is dominated by transnational corporations, and internal resean is due to their own national policies and environment. |
