Avoiding New Trade-Barriers

Since 1980s, the floriculture industry has a fast development in China, and floriculture production area, production value and international trade value make a great achievement in recent 20 years. At the same time, some developed countries join the team in succession which uses the new-trade barriers to protect so-called environment, animal & plant and human rights. The conflict between export and import countries occurs commonly as results. Due to the restrict of setting up the tariff wall and various traditional non-tariff wall in WTO frame, the new-trade barriers will be more welcomed for processing the new-trade protectionism in these countries. For us, the implement of new-trade barriers will have bad influence on Chinese floriculture industry and block international floriculture trade between China and its market countries. At present, there are a few number research organizations or companies which have systematic and all-around research work on new-trade barriers. Basing on this fact, China has to make a deep research on new-trade barriers, and do better to find its working rule. To make sure that government departments and floriculture production companies can cooperate by right way. Deep research and attaching importance to new-trade barriers will play a very important role on Chinese floriculture trade in future.It begins with introducing the background and main characters of flowers new-trade barriers, and takes USA, Japan, European Community and several new rising countries as examples to analyze new-trade barriers in their trade policies. And it also expatiate the double-side influence on Chinese flowers industry from new-trade barriers, and show the importance and pressure for dealing with these problems and policies as soon as possible in future. At last, it gives some suggestions to government, industry organizations and companies on how to elude and solve the new-trade barriers separately. As a word, the new-trade barriers problems will not disappear in short time and they will exist for a long time; China has to deal with these problems effectively and systematically. According to the research work on new-trade barriers, it gives some suggestions on how to avoid and apply the trade protection means. They will help relative organizations to develop Chinese floriculture industry and stimulate its international floriculture trade activities.
