With the coming new era of information technology, the managers are going to focus on the human resource instead of substance. Especially for new established Hi-Tech company S in IT industry, tremendous changes are taking place around telecommunication industry, constant innovations are the key capability that needs to keep S company competitive in global market. Bankroll and products are not final factors for the long time success, company should occupy the peak of human resource.How to utilize talents the most efficiently, and how to let them do as much as they can, is one of the most significant purposes of human resource management, appropriate motivation to the associates is the way to make it. Motivation is playing a significant role in the management upon human resource, it is also supposed to be the booster of the company growth.Through the analysis on the current motivation in S company, a Hi-Tech developing organization, combining theories of motivation, the author indicates that the associates lower morale is caused by the shortcomings of the current motivation system in S company and analyzes the problems in depth through both performance management and compensation designation. The author considers performance management and compensation designation as the key points of the motivation, and emphasizes the importance of economic compensation. The author also illustrates substantial needs should be prior fulfilled to reduce the dissatisfaction that the associates feel, and the inequity that the associates also feel could be eliminated using rational performance classification.
