It is commonly accepted that entrepreneur, one of the rarest resources of modern society, is the engine of economy. Thus, the question how to raise up a qualified stratum of entrepreneur is impatiently waiting to be answered.The researches on entrepreneur growth always focus on system design and institutions arrangement that encourage entrepreneur development, while the nature, phase and result of entrepreneur growth is seldom discussed. The author believes that it is illogical for us to talk about system design and institutions arrangement before we get a clear picture of entrepreneur growth itself. It is almost the same as shooting without a target, that is to say, it will be very hard for us to find the right answer and even if we coincidentally find it, it is inevitable for us to enlarge the cost and waste social resources.Therefore, this paper intends to do some work on the essence of entrepreneur growth, and tries to describe and analyze its nature, phase and result. It concludes five parts:Part I.
