Recently, with industrialization and bi-salary families, low temperature logistics appears. However, distribution is the dotty points of low temperature logistics system in China. For example, low efficiency, insufficient transportation capacity, high waste rate and so on. These phenomena mostly result from unreasonable distribution projects. Designing reasonable distribution projects is a measure, which can make up the deficiency.After elaborating the meanings and value composition of low temperature logistics, the difference between low temperature logistics and normal temperature logistics is summarized. According to the speciality of low temperature logistics, based on researches on normal logistics, the normal temperature logistics distribution model is improved with load-carrying penalty function and soft time window. So this model also can be used in low temperature logistics distribution. Because the improved model has characteristic of"NP-hard", a genetic algorithm is formated to solve the improved model.Finally, with the improved model and genetic algorithm, a distribution project is designed for Bohai logistics center through MATLAB 7.0. After designing of distribution project, the project is also evaluated.
