The more and more frequent business collaboration among enterprises and the new stage of integrated electronic commerce work together to bear collaborative commerce. On the other side, requirements for collaborative commerce are always changing. This means enterprises need to organize their applications in some way which supports easy reorganization of the information systems, and as the clue for these information systems, business processes have to boast strong flexibility and adaptability. This paper bases on "business process-oriented", to study how collaborative commerce is implemented using information technology. Firstly, EAI and Business Process Management (BPM) are researched into; their lower-level implementation technologies such as Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and some standards for BPM are also quite deeply researched into. Then, under the guidance of these technologies, the author develops a mini collaborative commerce prototype which is named "Travel Agency Service" on IBM's development platform—WSAD-IE, through detailed introduction of the process, shows that Web Services and business process-oriented Web Services orchestration well support component-based development. Also by encapsulating these Web Services provided by different collaborators and serving the end users through uniform interface, transparent access is realized, while this is just the essence of SOA technology. Finally, under the demand of upgrading present collaborative commerce businesses, the author does some improvement on the prototype. In the visible process editor and integrated Web Services programming environment, improvement or reengineering of the business processes can be achieved without pain. This once again shows the flexibility and effectiveness business process-oriented Web Services orchestration provides for collaborative commerce implementation. The exploration and application of these advanced conceptions and standardtechnologies in this thesis will function as clues for enterprises' informatization in their new stage business activities.
