Securities investment fund as a new and vive industry, Its development just a few years in our country. With the national macro guidance to the development of capital markets, it has gradually developed into a strong force in social investment. Its development experienced disorderly, norms, adjustment, and development and incremental process. By years end a 100-year journey abroad. Its development speed, high degree of social concern, shows that the emerging markets as China's rapid economic growth will inevitably lead to large-scale development of the financial markets. As an important component of the financial markets , the capital market will also usher in an unprecedented development opportunity.This paper will analyze the history and development of China's fund industry and status quo. I will make every effort to achieve systematic, but it is impossible to achieve balanced. Focusing on: modern investment theory, the status of our fund industry, deficiency, innovations, etc .On the part of modern investment theory. I will adopt Markowitz investment models, the capital asset pricing model (CAPM), and other major models used to explain these modern investment theory models Practicality and applicability; Other parts. I will study the fund industry through the development process and toanalyze the facts of China's fund industries' product mix, market position, promotion strategies, management, operation practices, profitability, innovation and the existing problems. I sought through practical examples and statistical sampling to elaborate: As different national conditions, China's fund industry development process will inevitably encounter its own problems.
