The QFII program is a transitional mode in the opening - up of the securities markets before the renminbi becomes freely convertible in China. At the moment, there is no Korean financial institution obtaining China's QFII qualifications. For Korean financial institutions, it is difficult to get into China's capital market. Moreover obtaining China's QFII is excessively strict and Korean financial institutions' insufficient understanding about China's capital market makes it more difficult. After new QFII scheme in China, three Korean financial institutions applied forQFII. Under the expectation of raising limit there is possibilities forKorean financial institutions to getting QFII in China. For Korea it is the big chance of getting into China's security market(A market). Author mentioned about reasons why China should loose limitation of capital market.Based on the introduction of the new QFII scheme in China and presenting of Korean financial institutions, this paper author puts some discussion how Korean financial institutions getting into China's capital market.
