China is a great agricultural country, and its agricultural population covers majority of the national population. The problems of agriculture, countryside and peasantry are important ones influencing the overall situation of China's reform, opening and modernization. Since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee, the double management system based on household contract management has been carried out in rural areas in China. It has greatly aroused the farmers' enthusiasm, so agriculture and rural economy have developed fast, and tremendous achievements have been acquired. However, with the deepening of reform, some deep-going contradictions and problems have arisen in the course of development of agriculture and rural economy. To solve these contradictions and problems, Chinese farmers gradually groped out a new model of agricultural industrialization management, with Chinese characteristics. This new management model has shortly manifested exuberant vitality since it emerged, and has greatly promoted the progress of agriculture and rural economy. Practice proves that agricultural integration has been the breach of the advance and reform of Chinese agriculture economy, and a well-off effective way for farmers to make fortune. It's not only the basic way to develop Chinese agriculture, the basic management model of market agriculture, but also the important way to promote agricultural modernization.There are five parts in this article. Part 1 introduces the connotation and characteristics of the management of agricultural industrialization, and elaborates its function and significance; Part 1 also analyses its rationale of production and development, including the theory of social division of labor and cooperation, of organization creation and system transformation, of trade cost, and the theory of mass economy. Part 2 introduces several stages of the development course of the agricultural industrialization management, including the stage of transformation before 1978, of laying foundation from 1978 to 1984, of exploration from 1985 to 1992, and the stage of development and expansion from 1993 to now; and this part also introduces the achievements that the management of agricultural industrialization has get, and the characteristics that it presents. Part 3 elaborates the problems of the management of agricultural industrialization. The first one is weak competitive ability; the second is deficient in financing channels; the third one is lower degree of market; the fourth one is imperfect system and mechanism. Part 4 introduces some successful experiences of foreign countries on the management of agricultural industrialization, and analyses the enlightenment to China elaborating different experiences of America and Japan. The last part proposes the corresponding countermeasures according to the problems that exit in the management of agricultural industrialization, including supporting and expanding the leading enterprises, opening up the financing channels, consummating the construction of market system, and displaying the positive role of the government on optimizing the management of agricultural industrialization.
