Study For Regulation Of Market Power In Power Market

The market power is a big obstructs for the power market in normal operation. In this article, existing and maintaining mechanism of market power is analyzed firstly. Then the factors affecting the market power are analyzed. Then study for evaluation of market power include:a single generator,the generators group which form the generators'collusion. Index system is established to analyze market power of a single generator. Qualitative analysis of factors affecting the generators'collusion and quantitative analysis of quotations correlation determines the generators group. Meanwhile, in this paper the monitoring methods of the market power and the long&short-term restrain measures to control the market power are presented. These methods and measures are helpful for electricity market reform of China.
